This paper describes a high-frequency soft-switching dc-dc converter with simple energy recovery capacitor snubber on the secondary side. The presented full-bridge removes main drawbacks of classic Phase Shifted PWM (PS-PWM) converter, e.g., circulating current flowing during free-wheeling interval and dependency soft switching load current. utilizes topology pulse-width modulation centre-tapped full-wave controlled rectifier one active switch. zero-voltage primary side is ensured by utilising only magnetizing transformer, thus load-independent. proposed described in detailed time waveforms verified simulation. control algorithm also current, which typical for PS-PWM converters. transistor achieved an energy-recovery circuit connected to output converter. principle operation measurements 2 kW, 50 kHz laboratory model
